Fishing superstars Matt Hayes and Mick Brown will be the guests of honour at Used Tackle’s biggest show of the year this Saturday April 28.

Staged at the famous Newark Showground, the deadly duo will be on hand to answer all your questions and reveal all the tricks of the trade that will help you catch more fish this season.

The Newark event is the latest in the Used Tackle’s Spring & Summer Tour, and if the past two week’s events are anything to go by it’s going to be packed!

“The first couple of events were unbelievable,” admitted show organiser Roger Surgay. “Both had record breaking numbers of visitors, and with Matt and Mick both at Newark too I can only imagine just how busy it’s going to be.

“My advice is to get there early!”

Easy access, loads of parking, and more tackle than any other even on the Tour, the Newark event promises some serious bargains on new gear.

All styles of angling will be catered for with new gear on show from Avanti, Carp Kinetics, plus big brand baits and you’ll be able to stock up on everything from small accessories to complete fishing kits.

For carpers there’ll be a huge bivvy village packed with shelters, chairs, plus pods, rods, and a huge number of reels.

For match-style anglers the Newark show will be the first place you’ll be able to see, try, and buy a new range of poles, including an extra special carp pole with an incredible 10 top kits!

Roger has also confirmed he’ll be staging his Man on the Mic tackle auction where there are low prices guaranteed – if you’re quick!

And you can bet on picking a winner, with organisers confirming they are to offer their best-ever deals at the one-day-only event.

This is the second stop on the 2012 Spring & Summer Tour – the previous week’s Welwyn show was a complete sell-out, with many of the new ranges of carp and match tackle snapped up within the first few hours.

With more stock heading to Uttoxeter – including all the new gear for 2012 – and many of the essential accessories and best-sellers from the last few months – it’s sure to be a busy show.

Organiser Roger Surgay, who’ll be staging his unique Man on the Mic tackle auction from 9am, reckons you’ll need to get there early to avoid missing out.

“We’ve got some seriously good offers on the cards this Saturday with fifty quid carp rods for £6, carp reels from £5, pole packages from £40, and a mountain of big branded groundbaits, pellets and boilies.

“But you’ll have to be quick, as at these prices they won’t last long,” he said.

All anglers will be catered for at the Uttoxeter event and you’ll be able to try and buy new carbon float and feeder rods, seatboxes and chairs, bivvies, shelters, reels, and some extra special clothing deals that have to be seen to be believed.

If you’re looking for items to top up your seatbox or tackle bag this is the place to head for.

Fishing’s favourite tackle shows make a welcome return this week as the Used Tackle Spring & Summer Tour opens its doors to anglers at Welwyn Garden City this Saturday, April 14.

This curtain-raiser kicks off a run of seven shows and will take in all Used Tackle’s favourite locations, with events at Welwyn, Uttoxeter, Newark, Birmingham, Doncaster, Kettering and Haydock Park over the next few months.

The massive tour kicks off at the Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City this Saturday, and it promises to be a busy month, with shows the following weeks at Uttoxeter Racecourse and the famous Newark Showground, where they’ll be joined by TV superstar Matt Hayes.

Welwyn is always one of the busiest shows of the tour and this weekend will be no different, with thousands of anglers expected to attend.

Already lined up to be there are several new ranges from Avanti, Barbus and Carp Kinetics including rods, poles, shelters, chairs, reel packs and accessories.

There will also be some one-off mega bait deals where branded bait prices will be slashed – stock up now for the season ahead!

Organiser Roger Surgay, who’ll be hosting his unique Man on the Mic tackle auction on the day, reckons it’s a show not to be missed.

“New products are arriving every week and so each show will have all our latest gear available to buy direct at the lowest possible prices,” revealed Roger.

“We’re going to make sure the 2012 shows are our biggest yet, and our policy of buying in huge volume direct from the factories means we can pass on massive savings straight to the anglers.”

Staged at the famous Haydock Park Racecourse, Merseyside, on Saturday August 4, the huge event returns to the fishing-mad area by popular demand from local anglers.

“We had so many calls from anglers in the North West asking when we were coming to their area and to be honest we’d always planned to take the Tour there but needed to confirm dates and locations,” admitted show organiser RogerSurgay.

The Haydock show will be the Tour’s last stop of the season after taking in Welwyn, Uttoxeter, Newark, Birmingham, Doncaster, and Kettering over the next few months.

Sneak preview show at Used Tackle’s Ingoldmells Superstore – Saturday March 31

Used Tackle’s Spring and Summer Tour 2012 kicks off with six huge shows throughout April, May and June.

But before the tour begins, organiser Roger Surgay is planning a special sneak preview event at his huge Ingoldmells Superstore on Saturday March 31 where you’ll be able to see the new ranges of gear first, and pick them up at bargain prices.

And Roger is even offering money-off tackle vouchers for all anglers who attend the free-to-enter event!

“We’re gearing up for our biggest-ever tour,” revealed Roger. “And to be honest we wanted to give our loyal shop customers the chance to buy the Tour gear at the same prices, direct from our shop.
